THE FOOD FOR THOUGHT - Display Contest

Get Started.

Any bookstore or retail store in North America and Europe is eligible to enter.
*Prizes will be awarded to both North American and European winners.

Please fill out the form below to register and get your required Actar-d signage for your display:

What You Will Need.

• The store must purchase a minimum of 5 copies of Food for Thought directly from Actar D to enter the competition.

• Stores will receive a complimentary display copy with a first order of 10 copies (placed at one time).
• The store must display provided Actar D signage (5.75” x 8.25” / DIN A5/ 14.6 cm x 21 cm) with the display.
• The words “Food for Thought - Thought for Food” must be used in the display.
• Entries will be judged on creativity, commercial appeal, as well as artistic and technical merit.
• Displays will be judged by a panel of Actar board and advisory members, including Ferran Adrià.

*Judges have the right not to declare a winner in the unlikely event that they deem no entries merit creative and/or commercial appeal.

Where and When to Display.

• The display can be a window display or in-store display, or some combination of both.
• Any tie-in with other promotional materials (newsletters, catalogs, web sites) or events used to promote the book will be a big plus.
• Stores may put up the display anytime from the book’s release through 12/28/09. The display must be kept up in the store for a minimum of 2 weeks.
• All submissions must be received by 12/30/09.
• Winners will be announced to all participants and to the media by 01/31/10.

How to Submit Your Entry.

• When your display is completed, submit your entry form online on www.actar-d.com/submit where you will describe your display and attach your digital photographs.
• Photographs should show usage of the required Actar D signage and words Food for Thought. Videos are optional.

The Prizes to Win.

FIRST PLACE winners will win a trip for 2 to Barcelona, Spain in April 2010
(during Catalonia's National Book Day) including:

• 2 round-trip economy class airline tickets.
• 4 nights double occupancy at the five star luxury hotel Casa Fuster
• A special gastro-tour
• A visit to elBullitaller, Ferran Adria’s experimental kitchen/food laboratory.

RUNNERS-UP will each receive:

• 2 copies of Food for Thought  signed by Ferran Adrià.
